Note from the Owner
J & A Grinding began in the basement of my father's home in 1979. As our business grew we were able to purchase more equipment and rent a shop in Stanton, DE and eventually purchase our own building. Over the years we have done work for DuPont, W.L. Gore, and MBNA. In 1990 we began making composite bushings for DuPont. In 1992, as production of the bushings grew to 3,000 parts per week, we moved to our current location, a 5,000 square foot facility in Newark, DE. In 1998 my father retired and we became a second generation business. We continued to grow and in 2000 we added an additional 3500 square feet. We became ISO Certified to keep up with the demand for excellence in grinding and sharpening. We also have an in-house inspection area to check all parts for quality.
